We sell Steam-A-Seam II !!!

Steam-A-Seam 2 is a sticky fusible web with paper on both sides.  The stickiness allows for a temporary hold of your  appliqué piece to the background material. You can even hold your project up vertically and the appliqué pieces will stay in place. They are repositionable over and over again until fused permanently with an hot steam iron.  You must have your iron on the Cotton setting with Steam to use Steam-A-Seam II fusible web.  You must pre-wash your fabric for a permanent bond.  For complete instructions using Steam-A-Seam II, see below.

Directions for using Steam-A-Seam II fusible web:

1. Pre-wash your fabric for a permanent bond.
2. Look at the fusible web, determine which side of the paper backing has the fusible stuck and trace on that side.
3. Trace the applique pattern in reverse on the fusible web paper.
4. Cut around the design leaving 1/4" extra.
5. Peel the paper backing off of the unmarked side.
6. Press the design to the wrong side of your fabric and cut out the design.  I like to use the hot iron for 3-4 seconds for this step.
7. Position the design to the final project.
8. Using a steam iron on the cotton setting, hold the hot iron directly over the design and press in place for 12-20 seconds.
9. If you are going to be washing the finished design repeatedly, you will want to sew around it using a decorative stitch.
10. Machine wash, lay flat to dry.
For unwashed designs such as wall hangings, you can leave the edges unfinished.
You can always touch up Steam-A-Seam with a hot iron if you have a edge come up at some point. It will not "melt" the fusible.
